The Northcoast Invitational Karting Championships will be matching the top drivers in each class from Thompson, Fremont, Columbiana and, Barberton for a one time - winner takes all shootout.
Only the top four points leaders from each class as of September 29th, 2003 will be invited to participate in the NIKC. If you are one of the qualifiers, you will represent your track and have the opportunity to attend the shootout for the title “KING of the NORTHCOAST”!
There will also be a “CUP” up for grabs to be awarded to the track that scores the most total combined points at the championship race.
The Northcoast Invitational Karting Championships location will alternate between Thompson, Fremont and, Columbiana starting at Thompson for the 2003 Championships. This year’s race will be held on Saturday, October 4th, starting at approximately 5:30pm.
The feature races will be run under the lights, which should make for an exciting time. The classes that will be run can be found at www.CKRA.org. The classes are the same as our club series classes. The NORTHCOAST INVITATIONAL KARTING CHAMPIONSHIPS will reward those racers who support their track’s point’s series. It is also designed to bring the tracks closer together and to promote more consistency between the tracks. We are excited to be improving things for the kart racers, as well as creating something that will carry a lot of prestige for years to come! Best of luck to everyone in the 2003 season.
This should be the start of something GREAT!
